That figure gets thrown around a lot as though it’s a new additional expense on top of all of America’s other expenses. It isn’t. Not only does healthcare cost twice as much as anywhere else on the planet due to its horrendous healthcare system, but Americans pay more in healthcare-related taxes than the people of any other nation as well. You are already currently paying for a system that costs more than universal healthcare. Might as well get a non-shitty healthcare system for what you’re spending.
