They engaged in manipulation before he got into office because they didn’t want an oafish political neophyte ruining things for them, but ever since he got in and began making in clear that he’d play along with the pre-established agendas like Hillary would have they’ve made no serious attempt to mess with him. Everyone who knew anything knew that Russiagate was impotent, and everyone who could count senate seats knew impeachment was a doomed futile gesture.
