I honestly believe we have the ability to skip that this time around. Power is held together by narrative; the only reason power exists where it exists is because most people subscribe to the narrative that that’s where power exists. If people wake up from the narratives of the propaganda machine, they can just stop pretending the old power structures have any validity, and start creating a new world without killing anyone.
