Hillary Lies About North Korea And Syria, Proves She Was The More Hawkish Choice

Well, it’s time to play Hillary whack-a-mole again. Every time she pokes her ghoulish head back out of the woods she spews nothing but pure toxicity, so anyone with a dispositional inclination toward truth and peace needs to work together to smack her back down again. In yesterday’s CNN town hall, hosted by some sycophantic presstitute whose name I can’t be bothered to look up, Clinton spent some time inventing an imaginary organization called “Russian WikiLeaks” (kind of like Black People Twitter, I’m assuming?) and accepting complete and total responsibility for her loss while also blaming it on James Comey, the media, sexism, racism, homophobia, arachnophobia, Youtube star PewDiePie, an obstructionist congress, my teacher hates me and the dog ate my homework.

Additionally, ol’ Hydrogen Hillary also took a generous amount of time assuring everyone that she would surely have plunged the world into war and chaos by now had she become president, and that America definitely dodged a bullet by not electing her. I mean, she didn’t use those exact words, but that was the gist of it.

For some strange reason that she really should have explained to her audience, the town hall’s host set aside a portion of the interview to ask this woman who has consistently pushed for idiotic, disastrous military intervention after idiotic, disastrous military intervention throughout her entire political career a few questions about foreign policy. Asking Hillary Clinton for her insights about foreign policy is like asking Bill Cosby for sage advice on courtship etiquette, but we all went down that rabbit hole together anyway. And boy howdy, was it an adventure.

In response to a question about Trump’s controversial statement yesterday that he’d be open to meeting with Kim Jong Un (which is light years from ever happening under any circumstances anyway as long as the US-South Korean alliance is openly speaking about assassinating the North Korean leader), Clinton stated that “the North Koreans are always interested…in trying to get Americans to try to come to negotiate to elevate their status and their position, and we should be very careful about giving that away.” The former Secretary of State did not clarify what the fuck any of that was supposed to mean.

Again, this is a woman who both loves this sort of thing, and sucks at it. Her spectacular blunders in places like Iraq, Libya, Syria and Honduras make it abundantly clear that she has no idea what the fuck she’s talking about, but here she is dispensing opinions like an authority as her words are ingested as fact by pussyhat-wearing loyalists all over the country. Her gibberish about rejecting immediate negotiations on the grounds of not wanting to “elevate their status” is the exact sort of thing that makes me glad she’ll be spending the rest of her life on her couch drinking Nyquil instead of as Commander-in-Chief of the most powerful military force in the history of civilization.

In reality, there is currently an olive branch being offered by North Korea to America and its allies via China, an agreement sitting right there on the table that the US has been spitting on because (as with Japan) only unconditional surrender is acceptable to Uncle Sam. All America would have to do to make this whole thing go away and potentially save millions or even billions of lives would be to just leave North Korea the fuck alone and stop pointing nukes at them, but no. We mustn’t “elevate their status”.

BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) — China proposed “double suspension” to defuse the looming crisis on the Korean Peninsula, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Wednesday.

“As a first step, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) may suspend its nuclear and missile activities in exchange for the suspension of large-scale U.S.-Republic of Korea (ROK) military exercises,” Wang told a press conference on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People’s Congress.

Wang said the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula is mainly between the DPRK and the United States, but China, as a next-door neighbor with a lips-and-teeth relationship with the Peninsula, is indispensable to the resolution of the issue.

FM Wang, ‘the lips’, undoubtedly transmitted an authorized message from North Korea: “The offer is (still) on the table and China supports it.”

North Korea has made the very same offer in January 2015. The Obama administration rejected it. North Korea repeated the offer in April 2016 and the Obama administration rejected it again. This March the Chinese government conveyed and supported the long-standing North Korean offer. The U.S. government, now under the Trump administration, immediately rejected it again. The offer, made and rejected three years in a row, is sensible. Its rejection only led to a bigger nuclear arsenal and to more missiles with longer reach that will eventually be able to reach the United States.”

Clinton went on to state the following:

“There was a negotiation in the ’90s that put an end to one aspect of their nuclear program. Two ways to make it, plutonium, uranium — shut down the plutonium. And then, a few years later, there was evidence that they were cheating.”

This is a lie.

What if I told you that in 2002 there was a breakdown in negotiations with a member of President Bush’s “Axis of Evil” over evidence that that nation had violated an agreement regarding weapons of mass destruction, causing a dangerous escalation in tensions and a geopolitical clusterfuck, only to have it come out a few years later that the evidence of that violation was based on faulty intelligence?

What if I told you I’m not referring to Iraq?

The negotiation that Clinton is referring to in the above quote is the Framework Agreement of 1994, brokered between North Korea and the male Clinton, and the “evidence” she is referring to never existed. The Framework Agreement was successful in keeping tensions low throughout the Clinton administration, but then the Butcher of Texas got sorta-kinda-elected and immediately began accidentally (deliberately) misinterpreting and manipulating intelligence about nations on the neocon shit list. One of those nations was Iraq, and the other was North Korea, which, after the Bush administration accused it of possessing a uranium-enrichment program and withdrew from the Framework Agreement, began manufacturing nuclear weapons using plutonium.

From a 2004 article by the Arms Control Association about the cause of the Framework Agreement’s dissolution, emphasis mine:

Washington announced that Pyongyang admitted during an October 4, 2002 bilateral meeting to possessing a uranium-enrichment program, which could be used to build nuclear weapons and would violate North Korea’s commitment to forgo the acquisition of such weapons. North Korea has denied that it said this.

Now here’s a 2007 article from the Washington Post, back when it was just a normal mass media outlet and not yet the CIA trade rag that it is today:

The Bush administration is backing away from its long-held assertions that North Korea has an active clandestine program to enrich uranium, leading some experts to believe that the original U.S. intelligence that started the crisis over Pyongyang’s nuclear ambitions may have been flawed.

The chief intelligence officer for North Korea, Joseph R. DeTrani, told Congress on Tuesday that while there is “high confidence” North Korea acquired materials that could be used in a “production-scale” uranium program, there is only “mid-confidence” such a program exists. Meanwhile, Assistant Secretary of State Christopher R. Hill, the chief negotiator for disarmament talks, told a conference last week in Washington that it is unclear whether North Korea ever mastered the production techniques necessary for such a program.

If the materials North Korea bought “did not go into a highly enriched uranium program, maybe they went somewhere else,” Hill said. “Fine. We can have a discussion about where they are and where they’ve gone.”

The administration’s stance today stands in sharp contrast to the certainty expressed by top officials in 2002, when the administration accused Pyongyang of running a secret uranium program — and demanded it be dismantled at once. President Bush told a news conference that November: “We discovered that, contrary to an agreement they had with the United States, they’re enriching uranium, with a desire of developing a weapon.”

Bush first used the term “Axis of Evil” in his State of the Union address in January of 2002, which he said was made up of Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. By the end of the year, the US stood on the brink of disaster with two of those nations.

I was recently listening to an interview with Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, who said that neoconservatives have “an ideology of world supremacy” which has made them “the most dangerous ideology that has ever existed.” I’d say that sounds about right, and add that Hillary Clinton is ideologically nothing other than a neocon with a pro-choice bumper sticker. The American supremacy with which she does things like dismissing the possibility of negotiating with North Korea before an international coalition has cooperated to squeeze the nation half to death is disgusting, and her historical revisionism is obnoxious.

Revisionism was very much a theme of the day throughout the entirety of the CNN town hall, and that remained the case when the discussion turned toward Syria. Clinton said that she supported Trump’s idiotic and reckless cruise missile strike on a Syrian airbase which killed nine civilians, including four children. She went on to say that she had not publicly supported the strike, which is another lie; not only did she publicly support the strike, she was braying for it hours before it happened.

Lest you should think this was the extent of her bloodlust, Clinton went on to imply that it was a bad thing that the administration made sure that the Russian air force wasn’t struck in the attack, saying, “ I don’t know what kind of potentially, you know, backroom deals were made with the Russians. I mean, we later learned that the Russians and the Syrians moved jets off the runway, that the Russians may have been given a heads up before our own Congress was.”

Still not done, Clinton added, “If all it was was a one-off effort, it’s not going to have much of a lasting effect. And, you know, Syria is another one of those wicked problems which everybody is, you know, desperately trying to figure out how to stop a civil war, how to prevent Iran from increasing its influence, how to prevent Russia from having a real foothold in the Middle East, which is something that they are desperately seeking.”

So the deadly missile strikes on the Syrian government should be more than a “one-off effort” in order to bring about a “lasting effect”, and you’d better not be making any “backroom deals” with the Russians which keeps you from starting a war with them. Just go ahead and blast the shit out of them all, because preventing Russia from having a foothold in the Middle East and preventing Iran from “increasing its influence” is totally worth a world war with a nuclear superpower.
