Bezos got more than twice from the CIA what he paid for WaPo, and despite having become the most virulently pro-establishment mainstream publication in America since that time, and despite having become the preferred outlet for CIA leaks since that time, his publication has never, ever disclosed this enormous conflict of interest when reporting on the intelligence community. That is extremely egregious — can you imagine if The Observer had failed to include a disclosure at the bottom of its articles covering the presidential election that Jared Kushner is Trump’s son-in-law? The media would have ripped them to shreds! But for WaPo’s owner to collect many hundreds of millions of dollars from the intelligence community without ever disclosing that conflict of interest is perfectly normal. Right.
